ladakhBIRDING is a travel agency based in Ladakh operated by Padma Gyalpo. An expert bird guide with extensive knowledge about birds and wildlife of Ladakh. He has recorded many new species for Ladakh. Not only birds but butterflies and moths as well. Apart from having an post graduate degree in Environmental Sciences he has also completed several online courses in Ornithology.
One of the latest records made in Ladakh by Padma Gyalpo was Menetries's Warbler which was a first record for India. Rare birds to ladakh such as Savanna Nightjar and Willow Warbler, also a first for Ladakh was made recently in October during a solo passage migrant bird count by Gyalpo.
Apart from Birding tours, Gyalpo leads and conducts bird and nature walks for school and college going students as well as Bird counts and surveys across ladakh.
